Programs supported by Dévo Canada

Dévo Canada focuses on three programs:

1. Mobilité Francophone (MF). This program is part of the International Mobility Program, which allows Canadian employers to hire foreign nationals from French speaking countries without the need to obtain a Labour Market Impact Assessment. As a result, the employer is not required to demonstrate efforts to recruit or train Canadian citizens or permanent residents. In addition, the $1,000 LMIA application fee is not necessary under Mobility Francophone.

2. International Experience Canada (IEC). This bilateral mobility agreement between Canada and 33 countries gives the opportunity to young people from 18 to 35 years of age to travel and work in Canada under one of three options: Working Holidays, Young Professionals, International Co-op Internship.

3. Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA). This is a document Canadian employers must obtain if a foreign worker does not qualify for any other programs. A positive LMIA will show that there is a need for an international worker to fill the job since no Canadian or Permanent Resident is available to fill the job. A positive LMIA can also be called a confirmation letter.
